February 3rd 2020 - 7 months, another journal almost down, first bible bash, and another crazy week of missionary work

Hello my friends!

I hope you all had a great week! Lot of up and down here. Read on for the update.

Monday was....a bit crazy. We went shopping in the morning for groceries. We then went to the thrift store we do service at to shop. I was so excited! I actually found a pair of slacks! Sadly I didn't get a picture in them this week so stay tuned next week. I love them though. We went on our way to President's for our activity. We stopped by the temple. I have never seen such a small temple. Picture 1 is of the temple up close. Picture 2 is from presidents house. The picture quality isn't great but try and find the temple. It's so small. We had lunch at President's and then went to the church for sports. Talked with family on the way home due to low time. We had a great lesson that night with sue who had some awesome questions. It really helped perk me up that day. Visited Nancy a less active who is super into Tupperware. I love her. She's awesome.

Tuesday was good. I started a new work out routine. Least to say my abs are dead. Went to district council which was good. Got a package from my family which was nice. I got a new pair of maroon boots from them. So cute! Picture 3 is of them with a surprise appearance of sister Robert's shoe. Tracted a bit. A member gave us a gift card for dinner that night so we grabbed port of subs and chilled at the church building. Watched days of harmony which was good. Had a lesson with the cockrell's a part member family. They're awesome. Visited a few people then went home. Oh! Due to new scheduling we have to be out from 6-9pm every night so that's been fun.

Wednesday was really chill. Did service at st Vincent's. Had lunch. Tried a bunch of people. Our dinner canceled so we got McDonald's and chilled at the church building again. Visited with a few people than came home.

Thursday was another mellow day. Walked around some of our area in the morning which no one was out even though the weather was nice. Did weekly planning which I always love. We're able to really go through our area and figure things out. Tried a few people then grabbed dinner from raleys the grocery store by our house. Our lesson fell through so we tried to visit some people.

Friday was a bit crazy. We had service in the morning at the caulks. Look! I even have pictures! Picture 4 is of sister Roberts and I mucking a stall and picture 5 is of us in our casual clothes before service. So much fun. We then had a lesson with Gary whose had a few medical scares. He's worried about what comes after this life and is in search of hope and peace. My heart was so heavy after our lesson and I hope we continue to give him the peace he's seeking. Had served at more of life. Yay bingo! Had dinner at home provided by a member and then tried a few people before exchanges. I was with sister heath whose awesome!

Oof Saturday. Saturday was a bit crazy. Sister heath and I knocked doors in the morning. So many no soliciting signs that resulted in some not too happy people. We then walked the trails by the golf course and talked with some people. Had lunch of my famous egg, tater tot, cheese, sausage mix. So good. We then went to our lesson which was actually a bible bash. My first one. I know crazy. I was so peeved by the end of it because the guy wouldn't really listen when I was putting out pretty obvious facts. Had to take time after to decompress. Visited a few people. Met the Andrus's who gave us fresh eggs and goats milk soap. So that was fun. Dinner at the Goddard's who are so funny. It was much needed that day. I pretty much downed a whole bottle of martinellies during dinner. Haha. Tried some people but no one was home. Exchanged back.

Sunday was pretty good. Yay fast Sunday. Went to church. Had a meeting with our ward mission leader after church. Had comp study in the car. It started snowing. See picture 6. Didnt stay for long. Had another lesson with Gary. He had read the pamphlet we gave him along with the scriptures at the back from the book of mormon. He had then started reading from the front. Bit blown away. We went more into the plan of salvation. We cried a bit as we answered his questions and bore our testimonies about this plan. He loved it. Well be meeting with him frequently for the next while. We then went to dinner at the bishop's. Sandwiches and soup which were super good. Knocked a few doors and got updates on the super bowl as we did so. 😂 I didn't care much but sister Roberts is from Kansas so that was super fun. Loved seeing her excitement when they won. Other than that pretty good day.

Not much else to report. Hope you all had a great week. Love you all!

Love,
Sister Sydney Hanks 🙄📖
